Edwardian architecture is really a blanket term
that applies to a number of related styles prevalent during the Edwardian
period (1901-10, or up to 1914). It covers Edwardian Baroque, Anglo-Dutch,
Warehouse, Queen Anne, Free Style, Arts and Crafts and Bungalow. The use of
Edwardian Baroque in large public buildings and monuments is certainly the
most memorable element of Edwardian architecture. Also, the widespread use
of red brick and terracotta on a domestic scale (with many Arts and Crafts
influences) is worthy of mention.![]() |
