Hospital of the Holy Ghost

the building:

The hospital close by the former Sülz Gate and the demolished St. Lambert’s Church goes back to the 13th century. The long hospital building was erected in the early 14th century and renovated and extended in 1586 and again in 1724. The former hospital chapel was demolished in 1968, to be replaced by a school building. The slender ridge turret dating from 1490 was retained on the school.
The former narrow pointed arch window openings are still discernable in the outside walls of the Gothic structure. A section of the building still serves as a hospital (old-age home).
