| Das Zeughaus gilt als bedeutender Berliner Barockbau, 1695 bis 1731 erbaut von den Baumeistern und Bildhauern Johann Nering und Andreas Schlüter. Die Kuppel des Berliner Doms lugt rechts über dem Dach hervor. Die Fassade mit Balustraden und Skulpturen aus Sandstein stammen überwiegend von Guillaume Houlot. Es diente bis 1877 als Waffenarsenal und Unterbringung für Kriegstrophäen. Hier hat heute das Deutsches Historisches Museum (DHM) seine Räume. | |
