Superb design and detailing make this commercial building stand out among
its neighbors, reflecting the creativity of its principal designer. A
former assistant to famed Chicago architect Louis H. Sullivan, George
Grant Elmslie designed several neighborhood buildings for the Peoples
Gas Light and Coke Company to promote the newly developed technologies
for gas home appliances. |
