Originally called Kenesaw Terrace, this street contains one of the city's
best collections of
Prairie school residences, many of which were designed by noted
architect George W. Maher. The district's mix of Prairie-style designs
and more traditional historical styles, such as
NeoClassical,
Queen Anne, and
Richardsonian Romanesque, provides a unique perspective on the
changes that took place in residential architecture between 1890 and
1920. |
